I love setting the table for my family and adding extra little touches I know they’ll enjoy. With Easter dinner coming up, I wanted to delight them with a sunny tablescape that is full of happiness and cheer.
This simple yet delightful Easter table goes to show how every occasion can be made more enjoyable when we put our heart into it.
Everything I used to create this table I already had in the house, except the flowers for my centerpiece, which I bought fresh at a local florist.
I never miss an opportunity to bring fresh flowers into my home. They make everything look special, and my home always seems to feel brighter, cleaner, and much more welcoming.
All the flowers I use in my tablescapes get to be reused after the meal is over.
I either distribute them in different arrangements around my home or I offer them as special attention to my dinner guests at the end of the night.
For this centerpiece, I chose yellow roses and yellow tulips. Yellow is like indoor sunshine – the perfect color to brighten any room. If your indoor setting is dimly lit yellow just adds life to the space.
This easter tablescape is intended for an intimate family-style dinner.
Family-style dinners are less formal, the food is brought to the table in large serving dishes that are passed around for each person to serve their own plate.
Family-style encourages guests to interact with one another, and it creates a warm, inviting atmosphere while still allowing everyone to sit back and relax at the table.
A buffet table set-up may be better suited if you’re expecting a bigger party for your event.
Buffets can be scaled up or down to match the formality of your event, so think about how you can accessorize your service table.
For an informal dinner between close friends, you can accessorize your service table with some simple florals in small glass vases.
There’s no need for anything too over the top just simple country-style decorations topped with bunny-shaped figurines to add to the festivities.
Easter is a spring celebration, and of course, I opted for a colorful table setting.
Yellow and green are complementary colors, which makes it easy to create a well-balanced table.
The tablecloth in this setting is actually a vintage curtain I repurposed. When I saw it online, I immediately fell in love with the color, pattern, and silky texture. I decided I had to have it.
It’s incredible how many different materials we can make work in our tablescapes, sometimes all it takes is a little thinking outside the box.
Easter is such a fun family occasion, why not celebrate with something fun?
When it comes to tablescaping, napkin folding can be an art in and of itself. The way you arrange and adorn your napkin can bring the whole table together.
For this easter table, I wanted to entertain the kids and delight the adults present with this adorable bunny napkin fold.
