With spring just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share with you a couple of Garden Inspired Tablescapes I created!
Whether you’re hosting a garden party or simply want to enjoy a spring tablescape indoors, these table decorations are sure to delight everyone attending.
Nature inspired tablescapes are some of my favorite to set because they provide an opportunity to be creative with textures and color.
Plus, dining at a table inspired by the lovely simplicity of nature’s lush surroundings will leave your guests feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
I personally love adding little touches of greenery to any party I am hosting because it really brings everything together. Plants are versatile and the true stars of these 4 tablescapes!
The first tablescape, Colors of Life, features crisp light gray linens, which provide a simple backdrop for this garden inspired tablescape.
The classic white plates and coordinating light sage napkins add color and movement to this table. The charming fresh flower centerpieces give a nod to the upcoming spring season.
A basket of fresh fruit next to each plate provides a tasty addition to the dining experience while also celebrating the vibrant colors of nature. As a lovely attention, the guests are welcome to take this treat home at the end of the party.
Who doesn’t like a rustic country style table? The second tablescape, Rustic Gardens, is a good example of how to incorporate all types of greenery into a beautiful table centerpiece.
This table illustrates how different heights can add a dramatic effect that complements the luscious greenery throughout.
Succulent plants are great table props. I love how long lasting they are even when roots are trimmed away. They come in various shapes and colors making it a lot of fun to freely place them anywhere on the table or plates.
For a gorgeous spring tablescape that is truly memorable, try bringing in unexpected elements like the large Monstera leaves I used here.
This tablescape is so simple, yet impactful. All I did was dress up foam cubes with florals and use them as stands for the dishes served.
I love to leave a table raw when it has a nice wood texture, especially when creating a garden party. Nature elements like these add warmth, texture, and beauty to the table without it needing any other decorations.
And to direct the eye to the ceiling above – that, in this venue, already houses more potted plants – I used balloons that tied to the back of each chair.
There is just something so “earthy” and organic about the look that makes me feel as though I’m in a tropical garden.
You can create a centerpiece out of anything you want! The only limit is your imagination. For this forth indoor garden tablescape I decided to go with a custom birch wooden creation to add a unique twist to the classic centerpiece. I love how it turned out!
You too can make this home, all you need is:
You can screw the dowel rods directly from the bottom of the wooden board. Drill dowel holes into your birch logs and slide them in place. Tie the glass tubes with wire or rope to the remaining dowel rods and add in a variety of single flower sticks.
Voila, a unique piece you can display in your home and reuse for many tables to come.
When assembling your own table remember that it’s okay if you don’t like the look of your tabletop. You can always use a table cloth to decorate it no matter how dressy or casual the dinner party.
Get creative and discover your style. You can use wild flowers or greens, succulents, almost anything to create a unique, nature inspired tablescape that your guests will surely appreciate.
I hope you enjoyed this article and that it inspired you to create as lovely a table as nature intended. If you’re new to tablescaping I recommend this article to get you started.
