In a hurry? Watch the video!
Your little one’s birthday is just around the corner and you still have no idea how to decorate for the party?
I’ve got you covered! This paw-paw themed tablescape & decor is cute, super easy to put together and can be enjoyed by everyone attending the celebration.
I threw this party to celebrate my daughter, Elena, and I wanted to share these tips with you so you can throw your little one an event to remember.
As a tablescaper, I love to go the extra mile when decorating and I’ve noticed that children’s events are enjoyed by parents just as much as they are by the children attending. And it makes total sense!
Think about it, while the little ones are out playing and having fun, who gets to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labour? The parents, of course!
Keeping this in mind, I strongly recommend mixing in more mature decor – such as fresh flowers – with the cute touches.
Here’s the final result 👇
I just love how this tablescape & party turned out!
When you opt for more mature decor like I did, you will reduce a lot of waste commonly associated with children’s parties. Flowers don’t perish immediately allowing you to enjoy and reuse them again throughout the week.
If you love this eye-catching tablescape and want to recreate this party, I’ve broken down what you need in 3 categories – decor, tableware & food.
For the food portion of the party, you can choose whatever you see fit and your child will enjoy.
For kids’ parties, buffets work best as each parent can easily choose what and how much their kids will want to eat.
In terms of presentation, I always like to elevate the food on platforms, using different shapes at different levels.
1.Opt for paper or plastic disposable tableware. These are ideal for children because they are easy to clean up, easy to carry and won’t cause any trouble when accidents occur.
2. While party decorations should be colorful and cute, don’t forget about the adults attending the event and incorporate some elegant pieces.
3. Reserve a special table for the cake to make it stand out and allow guests to take pictures & create memories at your event.
4. Have some party favors for the kids – these small attentions allow them to take home a piece of the party to remember it by.
5. Take it a step further and decorate the surroundings of the party as well. Pick out elements that tie into the theme of the party so that your guests can take pictures and appreciate the moment in its entirety.
6. Have activities ready for the children in case they get bored – a puppet show, crafts or games will make sure they stay entertained while still being safe and within your reach.
7. Reduce waste by reusing your decorations and inviting your guests to take home the leftovers at the end of the party.
These 7 tips are sure to help you throw a party your child and guests will love!
I hope you will enjoy this tablescape as much as I do and that your child’s birthday will be a celebration to remember!
